| Hi! Ok, so this is a question I've been wondering for a while now. Like I mentioned in my earlier posts I've been bodybuilding for about 5 years and switched to calisthenics for 2 months now and still progressing. I noticed that If you combine it it gives the best of the both worlds..I was just wondering if anyone else has any experience with it and has seen results? I have here a video that shows you guys what these two things combined can do to ya'. I'm sure some of you've heard of Kali Muscle? Anyway, that guy is a best. He's been in the game for 17 years, ALL NATURAL(lol). Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8u4bPJ_b6c PLEASE COMMENT!!! THanks ! -Jazz |

but still.. you gotta give him credit for the combined strength and endurance he owns and he weighs around 230 pounds..now that something man. You don't see a guy his size doing so many muscle-ups without kipping. |

| To be completely honest, the coolest thing I know, is when you're able to bang out reps on heavy weights, and at the same time is able to MUs, Pull-ups, planhches, back levers, front levers etc now thats impressive strength to me! |

LOL, ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! I GET IT!! but seriously, I thought weighted vests we're considered as an additional weight? So technically you do weights too. Just in another form of weight lifting.. I saw that video of yours. Nice |

| Funny that this came up. For about 3 months I've been doing calisthenics exclusively, but now I'm trying to combine functional weight training with calisthenics. In my opinion, you get more well-rounded strength from such a routine. For example, look at cross-fit. it's a great strength program that incorporates both weights and advanced calisthenics.
What I plan on doing is this: Upper body moves: planche one arm pull up handstand push ups muscle up pull/chin up dips push ups front/back lever l-sit/v-sit human flag power clean bench press
Lower body moves: pistol squats jump squats and other plyometric moves squats deadlift lunges |
