| Does this stupid thing ever go away?!? I have it in both damn elbows...I get so pissed off that I can't even do 50 push ups in a workout without it starting to bug me. I'll take like an entire week off, and then, when I feel like It's healed, it pops up again shortly into the workout. It comes up even worse when I do pull ups...this sh*t gets me so down....Even when I make sure I do my reps slow, controlled, w/ proper form...it still happens...I just feel like this thing is never going to go away....It's been bothering me for a LONG time like this.... |

Will that really help? I'll buy some if it does, but I've been reading some things online and I keep reading that it's more for cartillage and osteoarthritis.
I might as well pick some up tomorrow though. I'm willing to try anything that could help...I hate this stupid elbow tendonitis...All I want to do is train and it's like a rope tied around my neck holding me back. |

| I'm gonna start icing my elbows after my workout and start applying heat to them later in the day.
My friend told me to not only ice, but to apply heat later on to increase the blood flow to the elbow area, which would help it heal. Is there any truth to this and do you guys think this would help? |

I feel your pain man. I've been battling it for a while now too but one thing i KNOW HELPS is fish oil. I started taking it a month ago and my tendonitis feels 100x's better. I promise you'll feel a difference. Let me know how it goes. |

| I have had this off and on for at least two years, probably closer to three. I have tried extended periods of rest as well only to have it return. I supplement daily with Glucosamine/Chondroitin, fish oil and flax seed oil.
Recently I started doing daily stretching of my forearms as well as some of the basic forearm exercises that are outlined in another thread in various youtube videos.
I have to admit it is getting better. I still have soreness but I am back to being able to at least pull on the bar.
I have the excuse of old age, at 19 I am surprised it is hitting you that hard.
Anyway, try the stretching and basic forearm exercises every other day.
You have to be smart about it though, if you are doing something that hurts bad, you are only doing more damage and prolonging the recovery.
I went through similar long recoveries after two knee surgeries.
