PostSubject: Mass Gaining workouts   Mon Jan 24, 2011 10:25 pm

I need to gain 10-15 lbs muscle mass in 5-6 weeks. I eat 3-4 big meals a day with a mass gainer shake on top of that. I was wondering what type of exercises, and what routine I should do, routine suggestings would be nice, to help me achieve this goal. I have been doing strict form pullups, chinups, pushups, dips, lunges, and squats plus variations of them. Im restarting my old routine with weight vest on this week, and increasing the weight as I continue. Is this a good idea or not? And Im working out 3 days a week.

You would need to eat 5-6 meals atleast, and it's close to impossible to gain 'lean muscle mass' that quickly without taking on some fat.

Sorry, but you'll need to be more realistic with your goals,

To add 1lb in a maintainable and healthy manner will take you 1-2 weeks atleast. - This wont necessarily be pure muscle though too.

Just to gain weight you'll need to be eating around 500kcal extra per day, however if you are increasing your workout, you'll have to boost this to 1000kcal or even 1500kcal as you will be burning off more energy.

The only exception to this is if you've been ill recently (which has caused you to loose weight) then it's quite easy to put back on, usually because it is water weight that you've lost Wink

To actually answer your question though... eat more (of everything - esp fruits and vegies), drink more (WATER!!), exercises more and sleep more!

I don't even know if there is a steroid that will get you 15 lbs. of muscle in 6 weeks. This battle is pretty much over.

Dianabol and Deca Durabolin could probably manage it, but you'd be a pilock to try Wink

As already said above: It is impossible to gain so much weigh without fat.

Do u go to a GYM? During my max strength period i gained in the OFF Season 15-22 lbs in 1-2months!

I recommend a good nutrition plan:

e.g.:
600-800kcal for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
300-500kcal for ur snack: use nuts, protein shakes...

Your first goal should be 3000kcal. Try to increase ur kcal feed by 100kcal a week: 1week: 3000; 2week: 3100kcal

On the other hand u need to have a good training! I recommend u Charles Poliquin´s GermanVolumeTraining to increase ur mass. Be ready to get hit by a high intensity program!

If u need help by constructing urself such a plan send me a PM.

The final word is DISCIPLINE! MAINTAIN UR DISCIPLIN.

Greets!

Anything that gets you sore the next day, mainly supersets, weighted (if you are at a good level with basics) drop sets, pyramids and eating hard.

Not necessarily. Beginners can make incredible gains in the novice stage.

Focus on volume, and lots of it. Pavel's Bear routine, GVT, and the like have provided results similar to what you're looking for.

Certainly we beginners, me being one of them, can make impressive gains at first. I still am. However, 10-15 pounds of lean muscle mass is an unrealistic goal for such a short amount of time. I'm not even sure that it is humanly possible to build that much muscle that quick without some serious help in the HGH and other fun chemical acronyms department.
