Are you doing it just as a Task?.
or to checkout different crews and do their workouts or whatever is required and collect there t-shirts, Gloves and Hats etc?

| Especially for me it will be like very important phase in my training which will signify the passage from amateur calisthenics to professional one and further concentration on freestyle. BBRs it's like a necessary basis for the exercises of the superior complexity. It's like a proof for myself and for all my bar-brothers of the gravity of my intentions of doing what I do. And of course there is a competitive spirit Those who did it are treated in a different way. They earned a really serious attitude towards them. Cos this is a step to the new qualitative level. And all the prizes and contests serve as stimulus to wark hard and to reach goals. |

| I agree with ether, for me once I get these requirements nailed it will signify my dedication to calisthenics. I'm also completing the requirements to gain the approval of the bar-barians team, they are truly inspirational and motivational. I would love to be a part of this fine group, and provide my assistance and support to those who require it.

| Ok, Jay you already know what it is but I will put it out there just so the community know my opinion. Im going to keep it honest in the beginning I wanted a shirt simple as but then my reasons evolved.
I wanted to better myself, to push myself to a high level. I know when Im going to be apart of the barbarians I will have a big responsibilty not only to elevate and maintain a high level of physical skill but also for me to grow that same formula within fellow REAL people so that same reaction can take place within them. Im going to have to carry myself well not only as a member of the barbarians but also a member of the movement.
I see the barbarians on such a level, that I dont want them to accept me on the BBRs that I have posted out there and because of that reason I am not a barbarian and wont be until I get it done. I am still strong on getting my good form requirements, so that I can be also be a good example to others and so I can comfortabaly give constructive critizim without them being defensive turning around and be like "Who are you though, have you looked at your BBRs?".
Also another thing, to me the BBRs are not just a part time thing, its not just a tick of your list. Its embedded into my weekly routine at least once a week and I dont see it coming out for a while. Now I dont care about the goodies I just want to hold my own. Just my opinion |

| I agree with the points made by Daniel, Ether and LMTGJ.
First and foremost, I'm doing the requirements for the fitness and for the challenge. I've been involved in competitive sport my whole life. I love challenges and this calisthencis movement came along and grabbed me by the throat. It's not a fad for me. I've been working out my whole life - it's something I'm passionate about. I've done calisthenics for a long time as well, but not until I saw groups like the Bar-barians did I realize how amazing it could be.
T-shirts are nice - they are like the icing on the cake. But first it's all about giving my best and trying to perfect the skills I need to achieve my fitness goals.
I love this bar movement that's been sweeping across the globe, and if I can promote it in any way possible, then I will. I've been inspired by so many, and if I can do the same for others, that's a bonus. All the great people I've gotten to know is also a bonus. Seeing their progress and getting feedback from them is the fuel that keeps me going. |

| I do it for so many reasons! First of all, it's a great challenge, second, it's a great goal too. A goal that I'm getting closer to everyday and looking forward to complete!
I'm also doing them because it's a Bar-barian thing, a routine they've created. And for me, to be able to complete a Bar-Barian designed routine/program, is in my eyes an honor!
Theres so much more, but I'm just not able to put it in words, in the right way. |

 | Subject: My reasons... Fri Nov 27, 2009 3:37 pm | |
| -I don't need t-shirts -I don't need acknowledgment from e-people. -I don't do this to be a bar-barian.. But.. -I do want to be strong -I do want to live a long & enjoyable life
I do this for me. So that I can be stronger and live a longer more enjoyable life. This is not a fly-by-night, fad that I am trying out for a week.. this is a lifestyle change that I made almost a year ago.
So if I were to ask myself this question, my answer would be quite simple.
"I train the req's because I know that this is a doorway to the path in life I wish to take. It will make me stronger and provide me with the end goal I have been striving for. Living a stronger - longer life." |
